Our shop is number one in the Talekar Building, over in Sant Nagar, Lohegaon. It’s a ground-floor spot, which is handy because we don’t have to deal with elevators or stairs. Being in Lohegaon means we’ve seen the area change from mostly empty plots to a busy neighborhood with a lot of construction. Rajlakshami Developers is just a small outfit. There’s usually just two or three of us in the office at any given time. We keep the door open most of the day to let some air in, though it does bring in a bit of dust from the road. The office is pretty simple. We’ve got a couple of old computers and some wooden desks that have seen better days. There’s a map of the local area pinned to the wall with some faded ink marks where we've planned things out. We don't have a receptionist, so whoever is closest to the door usually says hello. Most of our time is spent talking to contractors or checking on site progress. We aren't the type to wear suits and ties every day. It’s more of a jeans and shirts kind of place. We usually get our lunch from the mess down the street. It’s nothing special, just a place where we do our daily work and try to keep things organized. We know the other shop owners in the building well. It’s a nice little community we’ve got here in Sant Nagar.
