Laxmi Balaji Ice Cream

We are Laxmi Balaji Ice Cream, and we’ve got this small spot on Sinhagad Road. It’s right near that Ishwar Krupa Way Bridge, which everyone knows because the traffic there can get pretty backed up in the evenings. Our shop is officially Shop No 1, so we’re right at the start of the row. It’s a busy corner, honestly. You can see the people coming off the bridge all day long. Some stop, some just keep going toward the main part of the road. Inside the shop, it’s mostly just the sound of the freezers hum and us moving things around. We keep it pretty simple here because there isn’t a whole lot of extra room for anything else. On hot days, the door is opening and closing constantly, and you can feel the heat from the road sneaking in every time. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure the floor stays clean, which is hard with so many people walking in from the street. Sinhagad Road is always moving, so there is never a dull moment when you’re standing behind the counter. We see the same faces sometimes, people who live nearby or just pass the bridge every day for work. It’s a good little spot, even if the noise from the bridge gets a bit much by five o'clock. We just stay busy with the day and keep everything running the best we can.
