Our office is over at 95 Ganeshnagar, right in the Defence Housing Complex in Bhopkhel. Being near the C.M.E. means we see a lot of military movement and it's a pretty disciplined area. Kusaba Engineers Pvt Ltd has been operating out of this Pune location for a good bit now. The building is solid, though the parking out front can be a bit of a scramble if you arrive after nine. Inside, you'll see a lot of drawings spread out on big tables and guys in boots coming in and out from site visits. It's not the kind of place where everything is shiny and new. We have old metal cupboards full of project files and a coffee machine that someone really needs to clean. The phone rings a lot with calls about parts and schedules. Sometimes we sit around the big table in the back to figure out a problem with a design. It gets dusty because of the construction nearby, so we are always wiping down the desks. Most of us have worked together for years, so we know who takes their tea with sugar and who doesn't. We don't spend much on decorations because we’re mostly focused on the technical drawings and making sure the math is right. It’s a busy environment, but we usually find time to chat about the cricket scores while we work. We just keep the projects moving forward.
