Krushna Dairy

Krushna Dairy is our small place in Warje Malwadi. We’ve been serving milk and curd to this neighborhood for a long time. Every morning starts very early, long before the sun comes up, when the milk cans arrive. We spend the first few hours of the day getting everything ready for the morning rush. People come in with their own containers or buy the packets we have ready. We also make our own dahi and sometimes paneer if we have enough extra milk. The shop is simple, just some big refrigerators and a counter. It stays cool inside because of all the chilling units. We know most of the kids who come in to get milk for their mothers. They usually try to get a small sweet or something while they are at it. Warje Malwadi is a lively place and being centrally located means we see everyone. We don't do any big marketing or have a website. We just rely on the fact that people need fresh milk every day. The floors are always a bit wet from cleaning the crates, and it smells like fresh dairy in here all the time. It’s a simple life but a busy one. We take a break in the afternoon when the shop is quiet and then open up again for the evening crowd. We’re just happy to be the local dairy for the folks around here. We don't need much else besides our regular customers.
