The office for Kovid Engineers is over in Kothrud, at plot number 4. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main road. Most days start early with some tea and then we get into the drawings and plans. The space isn't huge, just enough room for a few desks and the equipment we need for our engineering tasks. You can hear the traffic from the street outside if the window is open, which it usually is. Kothrud has its own vibe, very local and familiar. We’ve been at this address for a while now. Some neighbors stop by just to say hello or ask about some work they need help with. It’s not a corporate office with a receptionist and fancy coffee. It’s just us doing what we know. We spend a lot of time staring at screens or checking measurements on paper. Sometimes things go wrong, a machine acts up or a file doesn’t save, and we just deal with it. That is how it goes. The walls have some old calendars and a few posters that have been there for years. It feels like a second home because of how much time we spend here. At the end of the day, we just lock up the door at number 4 and head back. It's a straightforward place for straightforward work. No one is trying to impress anyone here. We just focus on the job at hand and keep things moving along.
