About Komal Engineering Works – Engineering in Pune
The shop is in Bhosarigoan, right at D/12. If you are coming this way, you just look for the Ganesh Mandir. Everyone knows where the temple is, so it makes finding Komal Engineering Works much easier. It is a dusty area, typical for a place where people are making things. We have been here for years. The sound of the machines starts early in the morning and doesn't really stop until late. It is a bit loud, but you get used to it after a week. We have some heavy equipment in the back and a small desk in the front where we talk to people. Sometimes birds fly in through the open door and we have to shoo them out. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains, but that is part of the job. We drink a lot of tea to keep going. The neighbors are mostly other workshops or people living in the village. It is a tight community. When the festival happens at the Ganesh Mandir, the whole street changes. It gets very colorful and busy. We usually close for a bit then. We are just a local engineering shop doing what we know how to do. Nothing fancy about D/12. It’s just a place where work happens every day, Monday through Saturday. The rain can be a problem in Bhosari but we manage to keep everything dry inside.
