We've been at Vidya Nagar 4th Cross Street for a while now. The shop isn't huge but we make it work. Every morning starts with checking the freezers and making sure the temperature is right for the ice cream. Kiwis Ice Cream is basically what we do all day. Some days are busier than others, especially when the weather gets warm. We usually spend the afternoon prepping the fruit or cleaning the counters. It’s a lot of manual work that people don't always see. We try to keep the floors clean but with people coming in and out, it's a constant job. The street outside can get a bit noisy with traffic, but inside it stays mostly quiet. We don't have fancy furniture or anything. Just some basic stuff for people to sit if they want. My cousin helps out most days. We usually get the milk delivered quite early. If the delivery is late, it throws the whole schedule off. We make the batches in the back room where there’s just enough space to move around. Sometimes the machine acts up and we have to fix it ourselves. It’s just how things go here. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to keep the shop running and make sure the scoops are even. Sometimes kids come in after school and it gets a bit chaotic. We just wait for the rush to pass and then get back to cleaning up the drips.
