Khandeshwar Motar Driving School is located right at Shop No 1 in the Rajvilas Complex. It’s easy to find since we are near the Shani Mandir here in Katraj. We’ve been teaching people how to drive around these Pune roads for a good bit of time. Learning to drive can be a bit nerve-wracking for some, so we just sit with them and go through the basics until they get it. We have our cars and we spend most of the day out on the streets with students. It’s a simple setup in the shop where we handle the paperwork and talk to new learners. Katraj can get pretty crowded, which is actually good for practice if you want to learn how to handle real traffic. Our instructors are just regular guys who have been driving for years. We don’t use any fancy simulators or anything, just real cars and real roads. Most of our students come from around the neighborhood or find us because they saw the sign near the temple. We keep the hours pretty regular, but sometimes we’re out late if someone needs a lesson after work. It’s a practical business.
