We are situated in the industrial estate of Ichalkaranji, specifically behind the Hotel Cityin. Ichalkaranji is known for its textile work, so we are right in the heart of things here in the Kolhapur district. Our place is in the back side of the building, so it’s not the easiest to find if you don't know the way. The area is very industrial, with the constant sound of machines and looms from the neighboring units. It’s a loud and dusty environment, but that is just the way things are in this town. We spend our time working on designs and making sure the production side is moving along. The heat in Kolhapur can be quite intense, especially in the middle of the day, so we have heavy-duty fans going all the time. Our office is more of a workshop with a small desk tucked into the corner for the paperwork. We share the estate with a lot of other businesses, so there are always trucks coming and going, loading and unloading materials. It’s a very practical, hardworking place. We don’t have any fancy curtains or carpet; it’s all concrete floors and metal shelves. Most of us have been working in this industry for a long time, so we are used to the long hours and the rhythm of the industrial estate. It is just about getting the orders out and keeping the machines running as they should.
