Kathak Dance Classes

Our Kathak Dance Classes are held at 401, Pimpri 3Rd D Cross in the Ombr Layout area. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels very much like a community space. We have a room set up specifically for the dancing. It isn't a massive hall, but it works for the small groups we have. We spend a lot of time talking about the history and the footwork. It’s not just about the exercise; it’s about the practice itself. The neighbors are patient with the constant tapping sounds coming from our unit. We try to keep things relaxed. There is no dress code other than what is comfortable for moving around. Most of the time, the windows are open to let in a breeze, and you can hear the birds outside mixed with the music. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a friend. It’s a very local operation. We handle all the scheduling ourselves and keep the notes in a simple notebook. It’s about the dance and nothing else. Ombr Layout is a good spot for us because it’s easy to reach but stays away from the worst of the city traffic. It's just a quiet place where we focus on our steps and the music every single day.
