Kasturis Music Classes

You can find Kasturis Music Classes over in Bhavani Peth. We are on the 1st Main Kalidas Road. Specifically, we’re in flat 4 of the Neha Galaxy Apartment, which people sometimes call the Mehak Classes building. It’s a bit of a mouthful to explain the address to new people, but once you’re here, you’ll hear the noise. There’s always someone practicing a scale or hitting a wrong note on the keyboard. That’s just how learning music works. We have students coming in and out all afternoon and evening. It gets pretty loud in a small apartment, but the neighbors are mostly used to it by now and don't complain too much. We teach various things, depending on who shows up that day. Some kids are really into it, and others are just here because their parents asked them to learn a skill. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed. It’s not a strict conservatory or anything like that. Just a place to learn some tunes and understand the notes. The rooms are full of instruments and sheet paper that always seems to get shuffled around on the floor. Sometimes the fans are clicking while someone is trying to sing, which is a bit distracting for everyone. We’ve been at Neha Galaxy for a while now and it feels like home. We open the door, set up the benches, and wait for the first student of the day to knock. It’s a good way to spend the day.
