We are tucked away in the Saha Jeevan Housing Society at Plot No 6. It’s in the Ganesh Khind area of Pune, which is a nice part of the city with plenty of trees. Karnak Developers Llp is basically a few of us working on housing and small commercial spots. Our office is more like a house because it’s part of the society. We like it that way; it feels less like a cold business and more like a local shop. People around here know us by name. We spend our mornings checking on various sites and the afternoons dealing with the paperwork here at the society. Pune is growing so fast that there is always something to build or fix. We don't have a glossy brochure or a big sales team. If someone wants to know about our work, they usually just walk over and ask us. We keep things very plain and simple. We look at the land, figure out what fits, and then we get to work. There are always challenges with labor or materials, but we just manage them day by day. We've been at this for a while and don't plan on changing how we do things. It's just about being honest and getting the walls up straight. We drink a lot of tea and talk through the plans until they make sense. Sometimes we stay late when the deadlines get close.
