Kale Motar Driving School

Driving around Lonavala can be a bit tricky with the hills and the narrow roads, especially when it rains. That’s where we spend most of our time at Kale Motar Driving School. We have a couple of cars that we use every day. They aren't brand new, but they run well and have the extra pedals on the passenger side so things stay safe. We meet people at the office and then head out onto the roads. Some people are really scared the first time they sit behind the wheel, while others think they know everything already. We just take it slow. We go through the same routes over and over until they get it right. It’s a lot of sitting in the car and talking about mirrors and gears. Lonavala is a small enough place that we know which streets are quiet for practice and which ones to avoid during the busy tourist weekends. We don't have a big website or anything fancy. People usually just find us by seeing the cars driving around with the big "L" on top. It’s a practical business. We help people get their license so they can get to work or run errands. It’s good to see someone finally drive off on their own after they’ve spent weeks learning with us. It’s just a normal day’s work for us here, teaching one person at a time how to navigate these local streets safely.
