Janta Bazzar

We have been sitting at Shop No-140/13 for quite some time now. Most people around Chatrapati Chowk know us. It’s a busy spot near Sonigara Kesar. The shop isn't fancy. We just stock what people need for their houses. Some days are really crowded and others are quiet. I usually get here early to open up the shutters. The shelves stay pretty full with groceries and household items. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to wait around. That's just how it goes. My family helps out when things get busy in the evenings. We know most customers by their names because they live right here in the area. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything. The inventory is always changing. If something runs out, we try to get it back in stock by the next day. We don't have a big website or anything like that. People just walk in when they need milk or soap. Sometimes we sit outside on the stools when there aren't many customers. It’s nice to watch the traffic go by. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. New buildings coming up and old ones getting painted. It’s a steady life here at Janta Bazzar. We just keep the doors open and try to be helpful to whoever comes through. Nothing too complicated about it really. It is just us here every day.
