Jai Bajarang Hotel

Jai Bajarang Hotel is at Akurdi 45. In this part of town, when we say hotel, people know we mean a place to sit down and get a quick bite or a tea. It’s not a place with rooms for staying overnight. We’ve been at this address for a while now. The building is a bit old, but it holds up. Every morning, the first thing we do is put the big kettle on the stove. You can't have a morning in Akurdi without tea. The street outside, near number 45, gets busy with commuters. We see the same people every day, stopping by for their routine. We don’t have a polished website or a fancy logo. It’s just the name Jai Bajarang Hotel painted on the board. The kitchen is always noisy with the sound of frying and the clatter of plates. It gets pretty crowded around lunchtime. We don't have a mission or anything like that. We just try to get the food out to the tables without keeping people waiting too long. Sometimes we run out of chairs and people have to stand around. It’s a bit messy and loud, but that’s the way it’s always been here. We just do our best to keep things moving. At the end of the shift, we wipe down the tables and count the till. It's a long day, but it's what we know.
