J. D. Engineering

J. D. Engineering is located down in Old Panvel, over at Sai Krupa in Sai Nagar. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main city, but it’s a good spot for a workshop. We deal with engineering stuff, mostly metal parts and repairs for machines. If you walk into B-23, you’ll probably hear the sound of cutting or grinding. It’s a noisy place, and there’s always a bit of grease on someone’s hands. We’ve been here for a while, and the neighborhood has changed around us, but we keep doing the same kind of work. It’s just a small team of us. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. Usually, if the phone rings, one of the guys wipes his hands and picks it up. We do a lot of work for local factories and builders who need something specific made or fixed quickly. Sometimes the drawings we get are just sketches on a piece of paper, but we figure it out. Engineering is mostly just solving problems with whatever tools you have. We don't spend money on fancy ads. People around Panvel just know where we are if they need a lathe job or some welding done. It’s dusty and loud, but it is what we know how to do. We just try to get the pieces out the door so the customers can get back to their own work without too much delay.
