Indian Pharma Shop

If you know Sadashiv Peth in Pune, you know how busy the lanes can get. That’s where Indian Pharma Shop is located. We’ve been here for a long time, right in the middle of all the traditional houses and small businesses. Our shop is quite traditional too, with wooden counters and rows of medicine bottles. It’s not one of those modern air-conditioned pharmacies where everything is behind glass. We know the people around Sadashiv Peth well, and they know us. A lot of our day is spent reading handwritten prescriptions and finding the right strips of tablets. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and we have to use flashlights to find what we need in the back. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. The streets outside are always narrow and full of scooters, so getting deliveries in can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. We don't have a big marketing team or a website that looks like a movie. We just open the shutters in the morning and stay until the evening. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to this part of Pune for decades. We talk about the weather or the local news while we pack their medicines. It’s a simple way of doing things, and we prefer it that way. Sadashiv Peth has its own rhythm, and we’re just a small part of that daily life. We've seen kids grow up and bring their own kids here.
