Cardkem Pharma is based out of 2301 in the GIDC Estate. It’s an industrial zone, so it’s not exactly a scenic spot to visit. We spend most of our time inside the lab or the packing area. Dealing with chemicals and supplies takes up the whole day. Sometimes it feels like we're just moving boxes from one side of the room to the other. The GIDC is always humming with noise from the neighbors. We’ve got a small office upstairs where the paperwork gets filed. It’s mostly just files and old computers. We try to keep things organized but when things get busy, it’s a bit of a scramble. We aren't a huge corporation with thousands of people. It’s a handful of us making sure the batches are right. Lunch is usually brought from home or we grab something from the stall down the road. The heat in the afternoon can be tough in this building. We’ve been at this spot for some time now. People around the estate know us as the pharma guys. We don't do much advertising. People usually find us through word of mouth or they just know the address. It’s a straightforward operation. Not much to look at from the outside, but we keep things moving every day. That’s just the daily routine here at Cardkem. We don't have any flashy brochures. We just do the work and go home when the sun sets and the day is done.
