India Glass & Aluminium

Our shop is inside Hakimi Heights, which is Shop No-804. Being in Bawani Peth means there is always something happening outside the door. It is a crowded area, and the streets are always full of people and carts. India Glass & Aluminium is basically just a working space. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Instead, we have stacks of glass leaning against the walls and aluminium tracks piled up in the corners. We spend most of our time measuring, cutting, and loading stuff onto the back of small tempos. Moving large glass sheets through the narrow hallways of a building like this is always a challenge, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things lively while we work. The air is often thick with the smell of cutting oil. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. People come in with their requirements, we tell them how long it will take, and then we get to work. It’s a straightforward way of living. Sometimes we run out of space and have to move things out into the corridor for a bit just to turn around. It’s just how it goes in a place like Bawani Peth. We are just local workers who have been doing this for a long time and don't see any reason to change. We just keep our tools sharp and work.
