About Prins Aluminium & Glass Works – Building & Construction Material in Pune
Being up here in Lonavala at Chawla House means we deal with a lot of moisture and rain issues. Aluminium is good for this weather because it doesn't rust like iron does. We spend a lot of time fixing up windows for bungalows and local houses that get battered by the monsoon. It’s a small operation. We have the glass cutting table right in the middle of the shop and piles of aluminium sections on the racks. It gets pretty dusty with all the drilling and filing we do. People around here know us by name. They just stop their bikes outside and ask if we can come over to fix a sliding track that’s stuck. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just do the work. Often we are out on sites more than we are in the shop, so the shutter might be half-down sometimes. Dealing with glass is a bit of a risk, you have to have a steady hand. One wrong move and a whole sheet is gone. We’ve had our share of accidents over the years, but you learn. We mostly do residential stuff, though occasionally a local shop wants a new glass display. It’s steady work. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just provide what people need to keep their homes sealed up against the wind and rain.
