Because it is so close to the Marriott Hotel, this part of town is always busy. The building itself looks very modern, but our actual office is quite down-to-earth. Furniture hardware like hinges and drawer runners are what we deal with daily. It might not be the most exciting thing to talk about, but every piece of furniture needs them. Most of the day is spent on the phone or answering emails from various manufacturers. We talk a lot about technical things like millimeters and weight capacities. Even with a nice office in a tower, we aren't really corporate people. Our small team just tries to keep everything organized. Rush hour on Senapati Bapat Road is a total nightmare, so we usually try to wrap things up before the traffic gets bad. There isn't a big showroom here, just some samples and piles of catalogs. Functional spaces work best for a business like ours. Instead of big marketing campaigns, we just focus on getting parts to the right people. The job gets a bit repetitive sometimes, but someone has to do it. We are just regular people working in a nice office building. We try to be helpful whenever someone calls with a difficult technical question about a hinge.
