So we are over here at Kothrud, right in the Prestige Green Woods complex at number 14. It’s usually pretty quiet around here except for when the kids get out of school in the afternoon. I spend most of my morning checking the compressors and making sure the temperature stays where it should be because if it doesn't, we’ve got a real mess on our hands. Ice cream is finicky stuff to work with. Some days the delivery truck shows up late and I have to wait around by the back door while the sun is beating down on the pavement. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The floors need a good scrub every single night because people drop stuff or spill their cones, especially the little ones who can't hold them straight. I usually grab a coffee from the place next door before we open up the shutters for the day. It isn't a huge shop, just enough room for the display cases and a few people to stand around and decide what they want to eat. Sometimes they take forever to pick a flavor, looking through the glass and pointing at everything we have. I don't mind much, it gives me a second to catch my breath. We keep the lights a bit low in the back to save on the bill. It's just a normal shop doing what we do every day. Nothing too fancy happening at Ice Cream Magic, just keeping the tubs full and the spoons clean.
