House Khas Urban is based in Erandawane, Pune. You can find us at Flat No 4 in Shilpa Apartments, which is at 43/15. It is a residential area, so it feels more like a home than a stiff office. We like it that way because it is comfortable and quiet. We are a small group of people working on urban housing. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of staff. It is just us handling everything from the paperwork to meeting clients. Erandawane is a nice part of Pune, with lots of trees and local shops. We often walk down to get tea in the afternoons. Our office in Shilpa Apartments is where we do all our planning. It is a bit cramped sometimes when we have a lot of drawings spread out, but we make it work. We don't do the whole corporate mission statement thing. We just focus on the projects we have in front of us. Most of our clients are local people who want someone they can actually talk to. We aren't always in the office because we have to go out and see how things are moving on-site. It is a lot of running around, but that is the nature of this business. We just try to be honest about what we can do and keep things moving forward. It is a practical way to run things. We have been here for a while and don't plan on going anywhere else.
