Hotel Vallerina

Hotel Vallerina is at 30/C on the Mumbai Pune Highway. This is a very famous route, and we see thousands of cars go by every single day. We are in the 410301 zip code area, which is near the hills. The hotel is an older style property with some open space around it. When the weather is good, it’s quite nice to stand outside and look at the hills, although the highway noise is always there. The building has seen many seasons, and the paint is a bit faded in some spots. Inside, the rooms have basic beds and old-style cupboards. We don't have a lot of modern gadgets or fancy electronics. It’s a place where families stop over when they are traveling between the two big cities. Sometimes people come just to have a break from the driving. We have a small kitchen where we make tea and some simple snacks. The staff has been with us for a long time, and we all just pitch in with the cleaning and the laundry. It’s not a corporate kind of place. We just handle the bookings as they come and try to make sure the rooms are clean for the next person. It’s a bit of a nostalgic place for some people who have been using this highway for years. We are just here on the side of the road, waiting for the next traveler.
