Hotel Shivsagar

Hotel Shivsagar is tucked away in Baner Gaon, which is a bit different from the high-rise parts of Baner you usually see. Our address is 41276, and we’ve been serving the local village community for quite some time. It’s a basic hotel, which around here means we serve hot meals and tea to whoever walks in. The building itself is older, and you can see the wear and tear on the benches and the walls. We don don't mind it much because it feels like home to us and our regulars. Most of the people who eat here are workers or families who live just down the lane. We don't have a massive menu with hundreds of items. Instead, we stick to a few things we can make consistently every day. The kitchen is always busy with the sound of clinking pots and the smell of spices. It gets quite crowded during the dinner hour when people are coming home. Sometimes the service is a bit slow because there’s only a couple of us handling everything from the cooking to the cleaning. We try to keep things tidy, but it’s a working kitchen and it looks like one. There’s no fancy lighting, just some tube lights that buzz a little. We like the quiet life in the Gaon area away from the main highway. It’s just a simple place for a simple meal where you can sit and eat in peace.
