You can find Hotel Ruchi Sagar over in the B Wing of Siddharth Nagar on S V Road 10 in Panvel. We aren't a hotel in the sense of having rooms for the night; it's more of a traditional eating house. We've been in this spot for several years, watching the traffic go by on S V Road. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but for the locals in Panvel, we’re just a regular part of the street. Inside, it’s pretty basic with wooden tables and some fans to keep the air moving. We serve the kind of food that we grew up eating at home. There’s no big secret to it, just standard recipes and a lot of stirring. The morning start is always the hardest, getting everything prepped before the first customer shows up. We get a lot of travelers who are just passing through this side of town. It’s nice to see new faces, though we have our group of regulars who sit in the same spots every day. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we've been here long enough for people to know the name. The staff is small, mostly family and a few helpers from the area. We just try to keep the floors swept and the food ready for whoever walks through that door in Siddharth Nagar. We hope to stay here for a while.
