Hotel Niwara

Hotel Niwara is right in the middle of Hadapsar, inside the Amar Arcade building. It is a busy part of town, so there is always something going on outside the window with the shops and people. We mostly see people who are working in the area or folks who are just stopping by while they do their daily shopping. The lobby isn't very big and the furniture has been there for a good bit now. I spend most of my day at the front or checking on the rooms to make sure everything is okay for the guests. It’s a lot of walking up and down the hallways. The noise from Hadapsar Hadapsar traffic never really stops, but you get used to it after a few days of working here. Sometimes the elevator acts up and we have to tell people to take the stairs instead. It’s just one of those things you deal with in an older building. We don't have a big fancy staff, just a few of us who handle the cleaning and the check-ins. It is a steady kind of job that keeps you moving. I like watching the people come and go from the arcade during my breaks. Every morning starts with a cup of tea and checking the register to see how things are. We don't do much in the way of advertising, we just keep the doors open and wait for whoever needs a place to stay.
