We are located at Baner Gaon 135. It is a simple place where we serve local food. The kitchen is the main part of the shop, and it stays hot in there most of the day. We have wooden tables and benches for people to sit on. It’s not a big space, so it feels full even with just a few customers. We do a lot of traditional dishes, the kind you find in the Kolhapur area since that's what the name refers to. There is a lot of grinding of spices happening in the mornings. We use a lot of red chilies and garlic. The floor is concrete and we wash it down every night after we close. We get a lot of regulars who live nearby in Baner Gaon. They usually order the same thing every time they come in. We don't have a fancy menu, just the things we know how to cook well. The tea pot is almost always on the stove. Some days the supply truck is late and we have to wait around for the meat or vegetables to arrive. We just do the work, serving plates and clearing up. It’s a family-run kind of vibe. We don't spend much on decorations; we just focus on the stove and the customers. It gets smoky when the tadka is being made, but nobody seems to mind.
