About Hotel Malwan Samudra – Hotels, Motel & Resorts in Pune
Our place is over at Sangavi Media Park, on B T Kawade Road. It's a bit of a trek for some, but we have a steady crowd. We mostly focus on the kind of food you'd find back home in the coastal areas. The kitchen is always busy with the sound of grinding spices and the sizzle of the pan. I usually spend my time between the tables and the kitchen, making sure things are moving along. We don't have a big fancy dining room, just some tables and chairs where people can sit and eat their lunch. It gets really crowded around 1:00 PM when the offices nearby break for lunch. Sometimes there’s a wait, and people get a bit impatient, but we do what we can. The smells are the best part, honestly—lots of coconut and fresh fish. We get our supplies delivered every morning, and I spend a lot of time checking the crates to make sure everything looks okay. It’s a lot of work running a small hotel like this. My hands are always stained with turmeric or something else. I've been doing this for years, and even though it's tiring, I like seeing the same people come back week after week. They usually order the same thing every time. When the lunch rush ends, we finally get a chance to sit down for a minute and eat something ourselves before the dinner crowd starts coming in later.
