Hotel Jay Malhar

Down here at Sangam Wadi on LBS Marg, things never really slow down much. Being right by Mulund Check Naka 68/2 means there is always a line of trucks and cars making noise outside. We started this place because we saw how many people needed a spot to just sit for ten minutes and have a cup of tea or a quick bite. It’s not a big restaurant or anything, just a local hotel where you can get your stomach full without a fuss. The floor gets dusty from the road and we are constantly wiping down the counters. Our staff has been with us for a while and they know how the regulars like their tea. Sometimes the rain makes it hard for people to stop by, but then the shop gets crowded with people hiding from the water. We handle the morning rush and the late-night travelers too. It gets tiring standing all day, but when you see a tired driver finish a meal and look happy, it feels alright. We don't have a big menu, just the items we know we can make well every single time. It’s a busy spot and we just try to keep up with the pace of the LBS Marg traffic. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. It is what it is.
