Hotel Heritage

Out here in Donje, life moves a lot slower than it does in Pune. We are located at number 242, away from the main city buzz and traffic. A lot of people come this way when they want to see the hills or head up toward Sinhagad on the weekends. We started this place because we had the space and we liked meeting new people from different places. It is not a big corporate operation. We stay busy. It is just us and a few local guys who help with the cleaning and the garden out front. We have some trees around the property, and we spend a lot of time sweeping up the leaves and keeping the path clear. The rooms are simple, nothing special, just what you need for a weekend stay in the countryside. Sometimes the power goes out when there is a heavy storm, and we have to get the candles and lanterns out for the guests. It’s just part of living a bit further out from the main lines. We don't have a big fancy menu, just some local food that we know how to cook well in our kitchen. People usually sit outside in the evenings to enjoy the cooler air and watch the birds. We don't have many rules, just ask that guests are quiet at night so everyone can sleep. It is a modest place and we like it that way. We just keep things running.
