Hotel Aram Kolhapur Darbar is tucked away in Pimpri. We’ve been serving food here for quite some time. The name sounds a bit grand, but we’re actually a pretty modest setup. We specialize in the kind of cooking you’d find in Kolhapur, which is where my family is from. It’s spicy and has a lot of flavor. We don't tone it down for anyone because that wouldn't be right. The dining room has seen better days, the paint might be peeling in a corner, but the kitchen is where we put all our effort. We source our spices specifically to get the taste right. It’s a lot of work, but we enjoy it. Most of our customers are people who work nearby or live in the apartment blocks around here. We don't have a fancy website or a social media manager. We just rely on people telling their friends about us. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but people seem to find us anyway. We’re open for lunch and dinner every day except for some holidays. It’s a family business, so someone is always here to make sure things are running okay. We aren't looking to be the biggest place in Pimpri, just a reliable one. We just want you to leave with a full stomach. That’s the goal every single day we open the doors. We take pride in our roots and the food.
