Horizon Music Academy

We’ve been over here at Wanowarie Sector-9 for a good while now. It's just a small spot in building A-2, room 101, but it works for what we do. Horizon Music Academy started because we just really liked playing and realized there weren't many places nearby to learn. It’s not a big fancy conservatory or anything. Just some rooms where people come to practice and get better at their instruments. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy, especially on Saturday mornings when the younger kids are in, but the neighbors at D A-2 are usually pretty patient with us. We spend most of our time just sitting with students and going over scales or helping them figure out a song they heard on the radio. It's a lot of work keeping the instruments tuned and making sure everyone has what they need. The space is comfortable enough, though we’re always moving chairs around to make room for a keyboard or a drum kit. People find us easily once they get into Sector-9. It's a local thing, mostly just folks from the neighborhood walking over. We don’t do much fancy stuff, just keep the doors open and help people learn to play. If you're looking for the place, look for the 101 sign. We're usually there from the afternoon until late evening most days. It’s been nice seeing people grow from not knowing a single chord to playing full songs. It makes the long hours worth it when a student finally gets that rhythm right.
