Homland

We are based out of Kadugondanahalli, right on M G Road in P T Colony. Our spot is at number 405. It’s a lively part of town with a lot of shops nearby and people always walking by the front window. We deal with homes, mostly helping people find a place to stay or getting their current place sorted out. The office is pretty basic. We have some chairs for visitors and a couple of old computers that take a while to start up in the morning. We spend a lot of time walking around the neighborhood looking at different properties and talking to owners. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of sweat and walking involved, especially in the summer heat when the sun is really beating down. We know the streets around here pretty well by now. Sometimes the paperwork is a mountain and we feel like we’re drowning in forms and signatures. We aren't some big fancy agency with a lot of money. It’s just a few of us trying to make sure people have a roof over their heads. We get all sorts of people coming in, some looking for a tiny room and others wanting something bigger for a family. We try to be honest about what’s available. If a place has a leaky roof or bad wiring, we’ll tell you. There's no point in hiding it. It’s a straightforward way of doing things. We have tea together every afternoon and talk about the day’s problems. It’s just a normal job in a busy part of the city.
