We are located at 3/B/5 on Mathurdas Road. It's a nice part of Koregaon Park with lots of trees. Hokey Pokey is where we spend our days scooping ice cream. The shop isn't huge. We have some small tables and chairs. It gets busy in the evenings when people are out for a walk. We have different flavors in the tubs, and we mix things on a cold stone if people ask for it. It makes a rhythmic tapping sound that you can hear from the door. Sometimes the freezer makes a loud humming noise, which we should probably get checked. It's usually just two of us behind the counter. We wear aprons that get stained with chocolate pretty quickly. We don't have a fancy menu board, just a list on the wall. Koregaon Park has a lot of big restaurants, but we are just a small spot. People come in after their dinner nearby. We deal with a lot of melted ice cream on the floor, especially when kids are around. It’s part of the job. We try to keep the music low so people can actually talk. On weekends, the line goes out onto the sidewalk of Mathurdas Road. We work fast to keep up. It's not a corporate chain or anything. We just like making dessert and being in this neighborhood. The lights are a bit dim, but it makes it feel cozy at night.
