Hirkane Dairy Private Limited

We are located at Plot 63 in Hanmant Vadiyetal, which is a small place near Kadegaon. Being a dairy means we are up before the sun most days. You can hear the cans clinking early in the morning when the milk arrives. It is a simple setup we have here. We do not have many employees, just a few of us who know the routine. Sangli has a lot of farms around so there is always work to do. The cows need tending and the milk has to be processed quickly so it stays fresh. We spend most of our time in the shed or the main room where the cooling happens. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to fix them ourselves. It is not always clean work but it is honest. The road to the post is a bit dusty in the summer. People from the village know where we are. We don’t bother with advertisements. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door. We sell what we produce and try to keep things moving. It gets hot in the afternoons so we take a short break then. We have been in this spot for a while now. The routine is the same every day of the week because the cows don’t take holidays. We just keep the dairy running the best we can. It’s a lot of physical labor but we are used to it by now.
