Hanuman Provision Stores

Hanuman Provision Stores has been on Bhandarkar Road for quite some time now. It’s a well-known street, and we like being part of the daily routine here. The shop is filled with all the usual things you’d expect to find in a provision store. We spend our mornings unpacking crates and putting stuff on the shelves. It’s a lot of lifting and moving things around. We know most of the people who live nearby because they come in every few days for their groceries. We aren't a big supermarket with bright lights and music. It’s just a regular store where the floor might be a bit uneven in places. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us making sure the bags are packed right. Sometimes it gets really busy on Saturday mornings when everyone realizes they are out of milk or sugar. We just keep our heads down and help whoever is next in line. Bhandarkar Road is a nice place to be, even when the traffic gets a bit heavy in the evenings. We like the local feel of it. There’s no fancy strategy here. We just try to keep the shelves full and the shop clean enough. It’s just how we run things every day. Nothing more, nothing less. We usually have a radio playing in the background, but mostly you just hear the sounds of the street and people chatting while they pick out their lentils or rice.
