Halward

Halward is right in the middle of everything on Laxmi Road. We are in the Saraswati Vilas Building, which is an old structure with a lot of character. Being next to the Hazurpaga School main gate means we hear the bell ring and see all the kids and parents every morning and afternoon. It's a very busy part of Sadashiv Peth. Parking is always a headache around here, so most of us just walk or take a scooter. The office inside isn't very big, but we make it work. It smells a bit like old paper and tea sometimes. We've got windows that look out onto the street, so there's always something to see. It gets quite loud with the traffic and the shops nearby, but that’s just how Laxmi Road is. We’ve been at this spot for some time now. People usually recognize the building because of the school. It’s a practical place to be, even if it’s a bit crowded. We don't have a flashy sign or anything. Just a simple door in a busy building. Most of our day is spent at our desks, talking or working on whatever needs doing. We know the neighbors in the other shops pretty well. It’s a community, I guess. You see the same faces every day. It feels like a real part of Pune history being in this specific neighborhood. The wooden stairs in the building creak a little when you walk up. It’s just a normal workplace with no big surprises or fancy furniture. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and head home.
