Gyaneshwar Motor Driving School

Running a driving school means we spend most of our time out on the roads of Pune. Our home base is Shop Number 4 in Building B of the Om Sai Market. It’s a small shop in Chikhali, right in the Koyna Nagar area. We have a couple of desks where we keep the registers and the keys for the cars. The office isn't very big, so we usually just sit outside on plastic chairs when the weather is nice. We’ve been teaching people how to drive for many years now. The cars we use aren't the newest models, but they are reliable and we keep them in good shape. Learning to drive in Chikhali can be a bit of a challenge because the streets are often crowded with people and trucks. We’ve seen all kinds of learners, from nervous teenagers to older folks finally getting behind the wheel. We don't use any fancy simulators; we just get in the car and start with the basics. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we always have a bottle of water handy. The market is a busy place, and there’s always something going on around our shop. We don't have a big marketing plan; people just see our cars around the neighborhood and come to find us. It’s a straightforward life. We open the shop, check the cars, and head out for the day's lessons, one person at a time, until the sun goes down.
