Gurunanak Sweets & Dairy is right here in Rama Market 7, Gokhale Nagar. We open up early because the milk comes in and people want their stuff for breakfast. The shop is usually full of smells from whatever we are making that day. It’s a busy spot in Gokhale Nagar. We’ve got the sweets in the glass cases and the dairy stuff in the back. Sometimes it gets a bit messy when we have a lot of customers but we try to keep up. Rama Market 7 is a good spot for us. People know where we are. We don't have a big team, just a few of us working behind the counter and in the kitchen. We make things the way we’ve always done it. Nothing is very complicated here. If the lassi is cold and the sweets are fresh, people are happy. That’s what we do every day. On holidays it gets really crowded and we have to work much faster. But mostly it's just the same people from the neighborhood coming in for their daily milk or some snacks. Gokhale Nagar is home for us. Gurunanak Sweets & Dairy isn't a huge place but it serves the market well enough. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
