Bharat Surgical Co. is located at No. 201 in Ashoka Arch. We are at 28/29 Market Yard, which is right near the Nisarg Mangal Karyalaya. Being in Market Yard means there’s always something happening outside—trucks unloading, people shouting, and a lot of movement. Our office is up on the second floor, so it’s a little bit removed from the chaos of the street level. We stock all kinds of surgical instruments and hospital supplies. The rooms are filled with metal cabinets and boxes that seem to reach the ceiling. It’s a bit cramped, but we know exactly where everything is stored. We spend a lot of time checking orders against what’s in the boxes to make sure nothing is missing. It’s simple work, but it matters because a surgeon can’t really do much without the right tools. We get a lot of doctors and hospital staff coming by to pick things up in person. We usually offer them a seat and a glass of water while we pull their order together. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing business, but it works for us. We’ve been in this spot for years and the building has some cracks in the plaster, but it’s home. We don’t have a marketing team; we just answer the phone and help the people who walk through the door. It’s a steady, honest way to spend the day.
