Our place, Gruh Sajja, is tucked away in Budhwar Peth, right by Kadiya Naka and very close to the old Prabhat Theatre. If you know that part of town, you know it’s full of narrow lanes and old buildings. It’s got a lot of character, but it can be a bit of a maze if you aren’t from around here. We’ve been at this spot for quite a while. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be smart about how we stack things. Usually, we are busy rearranging items to make more space. Being near Prabhat Theatre means there is always a bit of a crowd nearby. We like the energy of Budhwar Peth. It’s a very traditional area. Our daily routine involves opening the shutters, sweeping the front, and waiting for the first customers. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It’s just a plain shop with stuff people need for their homes. Most of the people who come in are locals who have been living in Kadiya Naka for generations. We know many of them by name. It’s the kind of place where you stop for a chat even if you aren't buying anything. We just keep doing what we do, day after day. Gruh Sajja is just a small part of this busy neighborhood, and we like it that way. When the theatre lets out, the street gets even busier with people looking for a quick snack or a stroll.
