Out in Kumbharwad, within Pimpri Gaon, we have our small office for Future Solar System. It’s a local spot, surrounded by homes and small shops. You can see our panels sitting out sometimes, catching the light. We spend a lot of our time out on rooftops around the neighborhood, so the office is often empty until later in the afternoon. It’s a bit of a maze getting through the narrow lanes of the Gaon, but everyone knows where Kumbharwad is. We aren't a big corporation with uniforms; we’re just local people who figured out how to make the sun work for the house. Our clothes usually have a bit of dust from climbing around on tiles and cement. We talk to the neighbors while we work, and sometimes they offer us water or tea while we’re up on their roofs. It’s practical work. We spend a lot of time lugging batteries and frames up ladders. Inside our space, there are wires and boxes stacked up against the walls. We don’t have a receptionist, so if you come by and the door is locked, we’re probably just out on a job down the street. We try to keep things simple and honest. We show people how the meters work and how to keep the panels clean. It’s just us doing what we know how to do in our own part of town, making things run a bit better for everyone.
