Divya Motor Driving School

Our school, Divya Motor Driving School, is based in Chinchwad, specifically around Vishranti Nagar on Sinhagad Road. If you know Sinhagad Road, you know how the traffic can get in the evenings. We’ve been teaching people to drive around here for a long time. The office is just a small room where we keep the student files and the keys to our cars. We have two small hatchbacks that we use for the lessons. They are easy to park, which is good because Vishranti Nagar has some very narrow lanes. I usually meet the students near the office and then we head out toward the quieter streets first. Most of the people who come to us are young adults or stay-at-home moms who finally want to learn. It’s a lot of sitting and watching the pedals. I have to stay alert because sometimes a scooter will pull out from nowhere. We don't use any big slogans to get people in. Most of our students live in the Chinchwad area and just saw our car driving around with the sign on top. It’s a decent living, and I like being outside instead of stuck behind a desk all day. On rainy days, it gets a bit messy with the mud on the roads, but we just keep going. We've become a bit of a fixture in the neighborhood, and I often see former students waving at me from their own cars.
