Dhanraj Ice Cream

Dhanraj Ice Cream has been operating on the New Ipcl Road in Hadapsar for a good while now. It is a simple setup with several large freezers lined up against the walls. Our main worry every day is making sure the temperature stays where it should be. If the power goes out, we have to move very quickly to save the stock. It is mostly families who visit us in the evenings when the weather cools down a bit. The kids usually take a long time to decide which flavor they want, which we don't mind at all. The floor is made of tile so it is easy to mop up any sticky drips that happen. We keep the lights on bright so people can spot the shop from the road. This isn't a fancy parlor with fancy chairs or anything like that. We just have some simple plastic seating for those who want to eat there. We get our milk from local sources nearby. Sometimes we try out a new flavor just to see if people like it, but the classic ones are always the most popular. The summer is our busiest time and it can be quite exhausting because we never really get a break. We stay open until late at night because that is when the cravings hit. It is a very straightforward business and we enjoy being part of the local scene. We don’t have fancy uniforms, just us in our regular clothes scooping ice cream for the neighbors. It works for us.
