Demag Cranes

Out here in Nanekarwadi, things are a bit different than in the city. Our spot at Gat No. 330-334 is right in the middle of the Chakan industrial area. It’s a lot of metal buildings and big trucks rumbling past all day long. We’ve been at this location for a while, and it’s where we keep all the Demag Cranes equipment. Tal-Khed is a busy place if you’re in the factory business. We spend our days mostly looking at blueprints or climbing around on the big steel structures. It’s a long way for some of us to travel every morning, but the work is steady. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around. The air is always thick with the smell of welding and diesel. We’ve got a small crew, and everyone knows their job. We don't really have a front desk or anyone to greet you; you just walk in and find someone in the workshop. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit in the shade and wait for it to come back on. We’ve built a life out of these cranes and this plot of land. It’s not always easy, especially when the monsoon hits and the roads get muddy, but we keep going. We’re just a bunch of regular people making sure the heavy lifting gets done in this part of Maharashtra.
