Deepak Glasses & Aluminium Works

We are based in Shop No 1 at Arun Plaza, right by Dange Chowk in the Thergaon area. It’s right on the way to Hinjawadi, so there’s always a huge amount of traffic passing by our front door. Our shop is where we cut glass and put together aluminium frames for windows and doors. It’s a noisy business with the sound of saws and the grinding of metal. You’ll usually see us covered in a bit of silver dust by the afternoon. We do a lot of work for the houses around Chinchwad and the new buildings going up in Thergaon. It’s physical work, lifting heavy sheets of glass and making sure every frame is level. Sometimes the measurements are tricky and we have to start a piece over. That’s just how it goes with aluminium work; you have to be precise. We don't have a sales team or anyone in a suit. If you come by, you’ll talk to the guys who are actually doing the cutting and fixing. We keep a lot of materials in stock in the back so we can get things done faster for people. People around here know us as the place to go if a window gets broken or if they’re finishing a new room. We’ve been at this location for a while now. The rent goes up every few years, but we stay because our regular customers are around here. It’s a decent life.
