Our place, Dairy Rich Kulfi, is over on Mill Road in Bhawani Peth, at number 805. It’s an old part of town and the streets can be quite narrow and crowded, but we like it here. Most of our day is spent around the cooling units and making sure the kulfi is set right. It is a sticky job, to be honest. There is always milk or sugar somewhere on the floor that needs cleaning up. We get all kinds of people stopping by, from kids coming back from school to older folks who have been living in Bhawani Peth their whole lives. We don't do anything too complicated. We just make the kulfi, freeze it, and sell it to whoever is hungry for something cold. The shop isn't very big, so things can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to scramble to keep everything cold, which is always a bit of a headache. We aren't a big factory or anything, just a local spot where we do everything ourselves. It’s nice when people tell us they enjoyed what they bought, but mostly we just focus on the daily chores of keeping the machines running and the shop open. That’s our life here on Mill Road.
