Cremy Bite

We are tucked inside the Jai Bajrangbali Cooperative Society in Khambdev Nagar. Chinchwad is a busy place, but our little corner is usually a bit more relaxed. At Cremy Bite, we mostly handle small cakes and pastries. It started in my kitchen before we moved into this shop space at number 44. The oven takes up a lot of room, so there’s only a small area for people to stand and look at the display. We don't have a huge variety, just the things we know how to bake well. Sometimes the frosting doesn't look perfect, but it tastes alright. We get a lot of kids from the society coming in after school for a treat. I spend most of my morning mixing batter and checking the timers. The flour tends to get on everything, including my clothes. It’s a bit of a struggle to keep the place looking tidy when you’re baking all day. We use local ingredients we find at the market nearby. If the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we just have to wait it out. People know us by name here, which is nice. We don't do deliveries, you just have to walk in and see what we have on the shelf that day. It’s a simple life, just baking and selling until the trays are empty. My sister helps with the packaging when she has time after her own job.
