Chaitanya Solar Systems

We are located at Rl-180, G-Block in Shahunagar, Chinchwad. It’s a nice area, a bit of a mix between houses and small businesses. Chaitanya Solar Systems is a small operation. We have a shop floor where we keep all the solar water heaters and panels we sell. It’s usually just a couple of us here during the day. Most of our work happens at the customer’s house or on their roof. We don’t have a big showroom with lights and displays. If you want to see what we have, you just walk into the back and we’ll show you the stock. We started this because we wanted to work for ourselves and solar seemed like a good thing to get into. It’s been a lot of climbing ladders and carrying heavy tanks up stairs. Our backs ache at the end of the day, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t use any big words or try to act like we’re some huge corporation. We’re just local guys doing solar installations. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and we have to reschedule, which is annoying but people usually understand. We keep our records in a simple ledger and don't spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. It’s a basic business and we like it that way. We just take it one roof at a time and try to finish before it gets dark. It takes a lot of focus and coffee.
